A Vision Brought to Life in Midlothian

The Stonegate Church project began with the lead pastor’s vision to create a true home for the congregation in Midlothian, Texas. Phase 1 included the ground-up construction of a 65,293 SF church facility on a 28-acre site, designed to bring people together in a welcoming, functional, and inspiring environment. The facility was built using structural steel and light gauge framing to provide long-term durability and flexibility for future growth.

At the heart of the new church is an 1,100-seat worship area equipped with state-of-the-art theatrical audio, visual, and lighting systems, along with acoustic treatments and an automated building control system. The result is a dynamic worship space that enhances the experience for congregants and supports a variety of services, events, and gatherings.

Growing Alongside the Congregation

As the congregation continued to grow, Phase 2 expanded the worship area to accommodate 1,650 seats, providing additional room for services and events. The former youth space was renovated to allow for the worship center’s expansion, while the existing office areas were reimagined into dedicated children’s ministry spaces.

To further meet the needs of the growing community, a 10,000 SF addition was built to create new youth meeting areas and a dedicated chapel for smaller gatherings, weddings, and special services. This addition provided a more intimate, multi-functional environment that complements the larger worship experience.

Enhancing Space for Ministry and Connection

Phase 2B of the Stonegate expansion delivered another meaningful layer of growth. The project included a major lobby expansion that created more space for the Student Ministry and transformed an outdoor patio into a fully enclosed, multi-functional chapel. The surrounding outdoor area was also reimagined into a dynamic green space designed to support youth ministry programs, featuring areas for pickleball, volleyball, and other outdoor gatherings.

A Partnership Rooted in Purpose

For M&F, Stonegate Church represents the power of partnership, purpose, and shared vision. From the first groundbreaking to each phase of expansion, the project reflects the collaboration between a congregation with a strong mission and a team committed to bringing that mission to life.

Stonegate stands today as a place where faith, community, and design come together. Each phase of the project reinforces the church’s role as a cornerstone for Midlothian and its growing congregation—a lasting home built for connection, worship, and impact.
