Transforming an existing movie theatre into a modern church facility designed to support worship, community engagement, and ministry operations. The renovation reimagined the former theatre layout to accommodate a stadium-seating auditorium, dedicated classrooms, office spaces, a welcoming foyer, volunteer areas, and a youth wing. Through thoughtful planning and adaptive reuse, the building now serves as a dynamic and functional environment tailored to the needs of the church and its growing congregation.

Through the process of miracles and in conjunction with their 14th anniversary, HighRidge purchased the City Lights Movie Theater in Hudson Oaks to expand their reach in Parker County. To live out their vision of “strengthening people for life”, they needed a partner they could trust to deliver a safe, efficient transformation for community impact.

M&F guided the renovation with a tailored strategy. Helped redesign the facility structure to create usable space and structures for future terraced seating. Performed several condition investigating and early demolition that helped keep the project on track: existing subsurface explorations, MEP system studies, structural steel investigations, line of sight studies, existing roof analysis, structure type analysis, seating options, and asbestos survey. Relentlessly managed their budget to have the final budget come in under the conceptual budget.
